Replica of William Katavolos 1960s leather sling T chair _ ‘In the 1950’s three men (William Katavolos, Douglas Kelley & Ross Littell) created a piece of furniture called the T chair. All graduates of the Pratt Institute in New York, the guys enjoyed a 6 year partnership designing textiles, dinnerware and furniture at Laverne which was established in 1938. A elegant and sturdy three-legged chrome and leather frame support the ever so comfortable, sling type seat. So popular in fact that in 1952, the T chair won the A.I.D. award as the best furniture design in America.
